Halagen’s Principal Director Clive Newell got involved with Snowsport initially to help the organisation with professional financial management at FD level.

It soon became evident that opportunities were not being exploited that could raise the profile and funding prospects of the organisation. As the business developed, working on a virtual basis Clive’s involvement increased, assisting Snowsport England to build the infrastructure and processes to transform it into a modern, well managed and progressive governing body including developing and installing strategic board level HR processes to ensure it could deliver services as it embarked on its next significant level of growth.

Implementation of sound budgetary controls and financial and reporting systems by the FD has given Snowsport England the capacity to operate effectively and to win major sports development bids and see its turnover increase to over £1m.
